Lauren Price

LAUREN PRICE, born in Newport, Wales, is one of the most accomplished athletes in Welsh sporting history.
Beginning her journey in kickboxing, where she became a multiple-time world and European champion, and football, representing Wales over 50 times, she eventually transitioned to boxing.
Her amateur boxing career was extraordinary, winning bronze at the 2014 Commonwealth Games, gold at the 2018 edition, and capturing gold at the 2019 European Games and AIBA World Championships.
Her crowning amateur achievement came at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, where she won gold in the middleweight division, making her the first Welsh boxer to achieve this.
Turning professional in 2022, Price remained undefeated and made history again in 2023 by becoming the first female British welterweight champion and the first woman to be awarded the Lonsdale Belt.
In 2024, she defeated Jessica McCaskill in Cardiff to become Wales’s first female professional world boxing champion, claiming the WBA, IBO, and The Ring welterweight titles.
She went on to defend her titles and unified the division by defeating Natasha Jonas in 2025.
