Vyrnwy Vineyard

Vyrnwy Vineyard is a rural, rustic labour of love, hand dug into the hillside. This Welsh vineyard lies on a steep south facing slope currently operating on 0.3Ha. The vines are cordon trained and spur pruned, and no chemicals or pesticides are used in the growing of the grapes. The hillside where the vines are planted grow wild with a large variety of wild flowers and herbs. First planted around April 2012, the chosen vines benefit from early ripening. Varieties include – Rondo, Ortega, Solaris, Regent, Fruburgunder, Madeleine Angeveine, Seyval Blanc and Dornfelder. Vyrnwy Vineyard does make or bottle their own wine, but are just purely growers of quality Welsh grapes for sale to larger vineyards.

Whinyard Rocks Vineyard

Whinyard Rocks is a low-intervention vineyard in Mid-Wales nestled in the foothills of the Radnor Forest. We planted the first of our solaris, phoenix, ortega, rondo and regent vines by hand with a team of willing friends in 2017. 1600 vines sit in the hillside of our working fourth-generation sheep farm and they are the first crop to cut the land. No pesticides or chemicals are used in the growing or production of our wine to allow for a truer expression of the grapes and their place in our unique location. Also tucked away down a lane by the vineyard is our vintage-style secluded holiday cottage, Highbrook Cottage.

Blue Moon

A Welsh vineyard in Radnorshire created in 2014 growing grapes to produce red, white and rosé wines. Local history groups have reported that in AD 48, five years after their conquest of Britain, Romans supposedly grew their own vineyards in the same area of Mid-Wales. These same Romans grew Grape Solaris, Cabarnet Cortis and Pinot Noir as Blue Moon does today, thereby continuing their legacy.
