Quick planning notes

Castles & high places: many towers/steps and uneven surfaces – trainers are fine; buggies struggle.

Rainy-day backups: Xplore! (Wrexham) and Pili Palas (Anglesey) are solid indoor options; Greenfield Valley museum areas also help in showers.
Seasonality: heritage railways and the Great Orme Tramway run fuller timetables spring–autumn; check the day’s schedule before you go.
Free & outdoorsy hits: Loggerheads, Wepre/Ewloe, Pontcysyllte (walking the aqueduct), Black Rock Sands, Talacre. Parking charges may apply at some sites.
