South Wales
SOUTH Wales brings the big hitters. Cardiff Bay’s waterfront feast and Abergavenny’s town-wide showcase sit alongside lively town events in the Vale of Glamorgan, Caerphilly, Neath and Newport. You’ll find 100+ producers, street-food courts, chef demos and music stages – plus easy transport links and plenty of vegan and gluten-free options.

Caerphilly Food & Drink Festival — Caerphilly, Saturday, April 18, 2026. 100-plus stalls, cookery demos and street entertainment.
Forest Feastival — Candleston Woods, Merthyr Mawr, April 17-May 10, 2026. Organised by the Street Food Circus team, a collective of nomadic cooks creating immersive dining experiences and events.

Cardiff Food & Drink Festival — Cardiff Bay (Roald Dahl Plass), July 3-5, 2026. Wales’s biggest free food fest; more than 100 producers, street-food piazza, live music.

St Fagans (Amgueddfa Cymru) Food Festival — National History Museum, Cardiff, September 12 & 13, 2026. 70–80 stalls around the museum’s historic buildings; free entry.
Abergavenny Food Festival — Abergavenny, September. The flagship Welsh food weekend across six town venues with 200-plus exhibitors.

West Wales

Mid Wales
IN Mid Wales, handsome market towns and the edge of Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) offer a gentler pace. Expect producer-led markets, cookery theatres and farm-to-fork stalls set around squares and historic halls. Build a weekend around walking or cycling by day and tastings by evening, with local ales and artisan bakes fueling the adventure.

Newtown Food Festival — Newtown, September 5 & 6, 2026. Big, free, family weekender with music and activities. The 11th annual Newtown Food Festival will return in 2026 on September 5/6 in the Town Hall Grounds. The festival site, consisting of the Main Stage, Food To Go Lawn, Bar, Children’s Village, Festival Kitchen, Producers Lawn and Producers Marquee. spans the amazing green spaces in the centre of Newtown, with the town centre just a short walk away. North Wales
FROM Eryri (Snowdonia) to Anglesey and the castle towns of Conwy and Caernarfon, north Wales blends dramatic scenery with bold flavours. Look for bilingual festivals, bustling street markets, centuries-old honey fairs and big summer events on the Menai Strait.
