Around Wales – A Regional Guide

THIS amazing nation has so much to offer for visitors and Welsh natives alike and through this Around Wales section Ewegottalove will endeavour to bring just a flavour of each principal area of Wales, its towns, cities, landmarks and areas of outstanding natural beauty.

In fact, there are just six cities in total in Wales; in addition to the three principal areas with city status – Cardiff, the Welsh capital, Swansea and Newport – the communities of Bangor, St Davids and, most recently, St Asaph have also been granted the same standing.

The 22 principal areas, listed below, are made up of counties and county boroughs, each distinctive in their own right. Spoken language and dialects can vary considerably from area to area, with the highest numbers of Welsh speakers found in Carmarthenshire, in the south, and Gwynedd, in the north, and the lowest in Merthyr Tydfil and Blaenau Gwent.

Here at ewegottalove.com, you can access all areas across Wales, from villages, towns and cities to the mountain ranges of the Brecon Beacons and Snowdonia, to the countless castles and places of special historical significance, and the magnificent Wales Coastal Path.
