ABERDOVEY GOLF CLUB
Enchantingly set within the Snowdonia National Park at the mouth of the Dovey Estuary, the links are wedged between the Cambrian Mountain range and the shore. A true links course measuring over 6,500 yards from the back tees. It will test, and has tested, the very best golfers, playing host to a number of amateur championships over the years. It was here that Ian Woosnam came to practise on firm, fast greens prior to playing in the US Masters each April.

ABERSOCH GOLF CLUB
Located on the Cambrian coast in Snowdonia, north Wales, the club was founded on Boxing Day 1907 and designed by Harry Vardon. Winner of Welsh Golf Course of the Year 2018 by Your Golfer magazine. Described variously by visitors as “the friendliest golf course in Wales”, “a jewel on the Welsh riviera” and “fantastic golf course, stunning views”, the golf club at Abersoch is one to put on your north Wales golfing list. Offering a challenging mix of 18 holes on traditional links and parkland, the course is a must for golfers of all abilities.

CAERNARFON GOLF CLUB
Sitting on the shore of the world famous Menai Straits and nestled below the beautifully rugged Eryri National Park and overlooked by Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) Caernarfon boasts some of the finest scenery of any golf course. The course has held the boys and girls Welsh championships, and has hosted some world-renowned leaders in David Lloyd George and Winston Churchill, who met at the club and played a few rounds while discussing world affairs no doubt.

NEFYN & DISTRICT GOLF CLUB, PWLLHELI
Situated on the spectacular northern coastline of the Llŷn Peninsula, Nefyn’s 27-hole championship layout, offers golfers a rich variety of challenges and rewards. The course offers golfers an opportunity to play two sets of 18 holes or the full 27. Each hole offers their very own set of challenges with amazing scenery and a view of the sea from every tee.

PORTHMADOG GOLF CLUB
The course is situated in Morfa Bychan, three miles from the harbour town of Porthmadog, and was established in 1905 by James Braid, the genius course designer of his day. It is a traditional links course; the front nine is predominantly heathland and the back nine links, with stunning views of the Cardigan Bay coastline and Snowdonia mountain range. In 2005 the club celebrated 100 years of links golfing excellence. The area also offers other activities away from golf. Visit the famous Portmeirion Italian Village or ride the Ffestiniog and Highland Railway steam trains.

PWLLHELI GOLF CLUB
With its unique part-links, part-parkland course, Clwb Golff Pwllheli is located on the south-facing coastline of Cardigan Bay. With fantastic views stretching along miles of coastline to the mountains of Snowdonia, it’s an ideal location for visiting golfers.

ROYAL ST DAVID’S GOLF CLUB, HARLECH
Nationally and internationally renowned, Royal St David’s is one of Wales’s premier golf courses. It provides a challenging test of golf set in a most beautiful coastal location and lies under the gaze of Harlech Castle, with a magnificent backdrop of the mountains of Snowdonia. Royal St David’s won the 2010 Welsh Club of the Year.

ST DEINIOL GOLF CLUB, BANGOR
Set overlooking the city of Bangor with unprecedented views of Anglesey, Snowdonia and the north Wales coast. This 18-hole course can certainly be an interesting experience – especially first time around! The club was founded in 1906 and is part of the James Braid circuit. Visitors, societies and corporate customers will find a traditional club with a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.

TYDDYN MAWR GOLF COURSE, CAERNARFON
The pay-and-play course opened in 1985 and over the years has been through major updates, with the latest in 2015, when Footgolf was introduced. The course is the dreamchild of the late Meirion Hughes, who was keen to provide golfing opportunities for all, including providing an opportunity for young people to take up the game. The undulating parkland course is a nine-hole, 18-tee, which boasts scenic views of the Snowdon mountain range, Anglesey and the Llyn Peninsula. It also features a lake which will challenge the best players!
