PRESS RELEASE
Iconic Vehicles Galore at Titan Wales Comic Con
IF you had a favourite car from the world of film or television entertainment growing up, there is a very good chance you will be able to re-acquaint yourself with it when Titan Wales Comic Con rolls into town later this month.
Making its debut at Cardiff City Stadium on Saturday, July 25, Titan Wales promises to be an epic event for Welsh pop culture enthusiasts, celebrating everything from comics to cosplay, toys to trading cards and gaming to star guests.
But this will be no ordinary comic con, for fans of the big screen and the gogglebox alike will be treated to one of the most immersive days out ever experienced in Wales – and a line-up of nostalgia-inducing prop cars to dredge up the fondest of childhood memories.

Among the iconic vehicles heading to Cardiff are the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles van, the classic jeep from Jurassic Park, Fred Flintstone’s Flintmobile, Herbie the Love Bug, the Star Wars landspeeder, the legendary KITT car from Knight Rider, the A-Team van, the General Lee 1969 Dodge Charger from The Dukes of Hazzard, the Back To The Future DeLorean, the Blues Brothers car, Barricade the Decepticon from Transformers, as well as the stunning 1989 Batmobile, not forgetting replicas of Danger Mouse’s Danger Car and Postman Pat’s van!
And it’s not only car enthusiasts who are being catered for in what the organisers proudly boast will be a record number of movie and TV vehicles for an event in Wales – famous motor bikes from Ghost Rider and The Walking Dead will also be on show!
“We want to create movie experiences so that people who come to Titan Wales can take home great memories,” says event organiser Andrew Macfetters. “We will have a number of Welsh and UK comic con firsts and some things that event-goers simply haven’t seen before.
“Many of our attractions will be interactive – such as re-creating big movie scenes from films like Jurassic Park and Star Wars and having dinosaurs and cosplay characters on hand to make some amazing photo opportunities.”
There will also be plenty of selfies to be had at a plethora of prop displays, ranging from Alien and Red Dwarf, to Wicked, Shrek and Monsters Inc, plus characters in full costume from the likes of Battlestar Galactica, Ghostbusters, Star Wars and Only Fools and Horses, celebrity guests, meet and greets with fan-favourites like Sonic, Stitch and KPop Demon Hunter Rumi, a gaming bus, cosplay competitions, Kpop, make-up art and face painting, and, of course, merchandise and art traders offering a wide selection of collectables, comics, original art and unique fandom gear … all for a £10 entrance fee (under 12s go free).
“Fans of all ages will be able to immerse themselves in their favourite fictional universes, with dynamic and energetic interactive pop culture activities, all in an inclusive, welcoming and fun environment,” says Andrew.

“All this will be taking part in three spacious, modern rooms, and spilling out into the car park at the home of Cardiff City on Sloper Road. Titan Wales has a whole day of family fun lined up, all wrapped up in a community-focused festival atmosphere, with money being raised on the day for our chosen charity, Dementia UK.
“We would love for interested parties to come forward and support us by sponsoring one of our movie cars or displays, and have their name associated with Titan Wales in what will be a real summer highlight for all lovers of pop culture.”
Guests will include Christopher Ryan (The Young Ones, Bottom, Absolutely Fabulous, Only Fools and Horses, Doctor Who), Clem So (Star Wars, Doctor Strange, Doctor Who, James Bond, Deadpool And Wolverine, Guardians Of The Galaxy, Assassins Creed, Fantastic Beasts, Justice League), Terry Molloy (Doctor Who – ‘Davros’, The Archers, The Bill, Casualty), Martyn Ballantyne (Harry Potter, The Dark Knight, Star Wars, Indiana Jones), Julian Seager (Vikings: Valhalla, Doc Martin, Fable, Miracle Workers), Carl Newman (Batman stunt double), Elen Thomas (Doctor Who, Eastenders, O.T.T.), Steven O’Donnell (The Comic Strip, Bottom, Guest House Paradiso), and Craig David Dowsett (Winnie-The-Pooh: Blood and Honey).
